What is the postpartum period?
“The Postpartum period begins immediately after the birth of a child, can sometimes be referred to as the 4th trimester.”
As well as it being an incredibly special time the postpartum period can host many challenges. It is no secret that it can take both mum and baby a while to adjust to their new life and feeling overwhelmed and out of your depth is quite natural.
While you are recovering physically and adapting to caring for your new born, support through this period is a necessity. Nobody will have all the answers for you and yes, it is true, you must learn on the job but there has got to be a better solution to helping you navigate through this period than frantically googling every day. This is where Its Motherhood comes in!
